Xiaomi Mi Band Pulse is the cheapest fitness tracker out there

Last updated on January 7, 2017 By Andrei Klein Leave a Comment

Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has made a name for itself thanks to selling affordable and very well made Android smartphones, but they also have a line-up of excellent accessories, available for the same pocket-friendly prices. The latest addition is the Xiaomi Mi Band Pulse, a fitness tracker available for just $16.

That’s what we call a price you just can’t beat

Introduced as a follow-up to the Mi Band, the Xiaomi Mi Band Pulse comes with a new feature. the heart rate monitor allows you to measure the heart beat, for better exercise tracking.

Besides this, one of its main selling points is the battery. With a capacity of 45 mAh, it’s able to last for up to 20 days in standby. Of course, the first Mi Band lasted 30 days, according to PhoneDog, but hey, it didn’t had such features. Finally, the wearable also comes with IP67 water resistance, but our recommendation is to avoid taking it for a swim, since there’s no guarantee that it will make it. If you ask us, it has this certification so it can resist sweat or rain, if you’re going for a jog in this type of weather.

The Xiaomi Mi Band Pulse can be sync with devices running Android 4.4 KitKat and above, as well as iPhones using at least iOS 7.

Available just for Chinese customers, at least for the moment

For the moment, it will be available just in Xiaomi’s mainland, China, but the manufacturer is expected to widen the availability in the near future, so fitness enthusiasts from other territories can buy this cheap, but apparently very interesting fitness tracker. Of course, if you can’t wait, you can always import one, for a significantly higher price.

What are your first thoughts about this wearable? Would you buy the Xiaomi Mi Band Pulse, considering its price and features?
