What should Apple do to be successful in 2015?

Last updated on January 4, 2015 By Daniel Dob Leave a Comment

At the beginning of each year, companies from all around the world think about what needs to be done in order to ensure their success. 2014 has honestly left us with a large number of product releases, new ideas and most probably even more promising projects that will definitely take off in the year of 2015. However, what is Apple going to do in order to become more successful?Apple_Oct_2014_18

Well, to answer that question, we would need to go ahead and think about the possible product launches together with anything else that they may be preparing to offer to their customers this year. Without further ado, here’s what Apple should focus on in order to become more successful than it is at this moment.

  1. New products

Yes, I know that we have the Apple Watch release just around the corner and that Apple will probably sell quite a large number of these devices to people from all around the world, but as it is a new product on the market, we are not really sure how good it is going to sell.

A study has shown that around 2 million smartwatches have been sold in the year of 2014 by competitor companies, which means that Apple will probably double that number up which is quite good. However, to make the Apple Watch a success, the company needs to make sure that it works as well as it has been advertised and that users will be easily able to get used to it and find reason for the purchase, as more and more people begin to understand the importance of having a smartwatch and how it can help out.

  1. More offers

Let’s be honest. There’s practically one main think that is stopping millions of more people from purchasing Apple products and that is the fact that the brand is usually associated with high prices, which may not really be beneficial to the Cupertino based company. With this factor in mind, I personally believe that Apple should invest a little bit more in cheaper products and to tweak the prices of the current services that they are offering to the large array of clients.

I’m not only talking about the actual products, but digital goods as well. By looking at things from an objective point of view, the truth is that a couple of digital products provided by Apple are quite expensive. Software such as iWork and other apps together with the music which is currently being sold via iTunes could take in a lowering in the price, as this will most probably make the services worth the purchase for a larger number of people.

  1. Events!

I really can’t emphasize on this enough, mostly due to the fact that Apple is currently not hosting as many events as it would be encouraged to. Leaving aside the Lucky Bags event over in Japan, Apple didn’t really host any other event meant to encourage a higher number of sales and to strengthen the bond between the company and its customers.

By hosting more and more workshops, but also fun events and games, the company can definitely win the respect of those that prefer to stay away from it at this moment in time, which definitely represents something that the company should be looking forward to doing in 2015.

  1. Online stores

After reading the heading to this point, you may be wondering what I’m talking about in the case that you are from the US, or any other country which has a dedicated Apple store over on Apple’s site.

Unfortunately, due to a couple of reason, the company only has online stores in less than 10 countries, which is not really something good for the company. By putting up more and more stores and offering prices which are better than the competition, the company would be able to bring in a larger number of sales.

However, it is also important to point out that having more online stores means that the company will also have to focus its efforts on setting up a couple of more official retail stores, as there are a lot of countries in Europe, Asia and Africa which have no official retail stores and the appearance of a couple of them would definitely help the company out and encourage people to purchase more products, especially when things look more official.

Based on everything that has been outlined so far, what do you think are the main factors that Apple should concentrate on in the year of 2015 in order to make sure to expand their services and become even more successful than they are at this moment in time?
