Everybody seems to be interested just in smartphones this time of the year, but they should take a look at tablets too, as a couple of very interesting models should make their debut in the next months. One of them is Apple’s iPad mini 4, which will apparently feature a revamped design.
First leak with the iPad mini 4!
French site NoWhereElse posted a set of images provided by Twitter-based tipster @OnLeaks with what seems to be a metal frame, with an Apple-shaped cut on the back, claiming that this is the back cover of the upcoming iPad mini 4.
Most fans are expecting significant improvements over the past model, mini 3, and this leak could confirm their expectations. As you can see, it borrows a couple of design elements from the iPad Air 2, which is nothing but great news. Check out this clip for even more details:
We can notice 10 holes drilled on both sides, surrounding the hold for the connector. Also, the lock switch has been removed from this iPad mini 4 case, being replaced by another small hole. Again, just like on the iPad Air 2.
Besides this, there’s also a SIM card slot, meaning that the tablet will come in a variant with cellular network connectivity too.
Same size, more power
If your sense of observation isn’t playing tricks on us, the display size will be the same 7.9″ seen on the previous generations. And we can’t see why they would change this, as it seems the perfect display size for a tablet, at least for the moment.
Spec-wise, we don’t know anything about the iPad mini 4, as it’s still to early to talk about this. Anyway, we won’t be surprised to see the new A9 chip, made by Samsung, powering the tablet, set to make its debut this fall.
Any first thoughts about the design of the tablet?
