The Spigen Cases for Apple Watch are bound to make a great difference

Last updated on May 19, 2015 By Daniel Dob Leave a Comment

Using a case on iPhones and iPads is a fairly simple decision; you want to protect your iOS devices from accidental drops and bumps, and cases are the best way to do it. Some cases for iOS devices are even dubbed “lifeproof”, stating their ability to withstand anything from a long drop to being submerged in water.

Using a case on an Apple Watch, on the other hand, may not be as simple of a decision as it may seem. The Apple Watch is designed to be beautiful as it is; adding a case will add thickness and ruin the overall design of the smartwatch quite instantly. That said, an Apple Watch case can indeed protect the smartwatch from many potential damages the device might have to endure.Spigen-Apple-Watch-case

When you are working in a busy environment, for instance, it is not uncommon to bump your watch – your wrist – against a table or the wall. With an Apple Watch on your wrist, the same ‘harmless’ bump could quickly turn into a damage that is costly and difficult to repair. This is where Apple Watch cases may come in handy.

Spigen, a well known brand of phone cases, seems to think about the damages an Apple Watch could endure from the same perspective. The company has recently announced and released a number of cases designed specifically for the Apple Watch.

The Thin Fit case for Apple Watch, one of the cases Spigen announced for the smartwatch, is perhaps the most minimalist and beautiful way of protecting your Apple Watch. The case is still relatively thick compared to the thinnest phone cases, but it is thin enough for everyday use. It can also be snapped on and off the Apple Watch easily. The Thin Fit case from Spigen uses polycarbonate and covers only the top part of the watch.

Spigen also released a Liquid Crystal case for Apple Watch. As the name suggests, this case is transparent and made of TPU plastic. It is also slightly thinner at only 0.8mm. Unlike the Thin Fit, Spigen’s Liquid Crystal case wraps around the Apple Watch, providing maximum protection.

Lastly, we have the Armour Series of Apple Watch cases. Slim Armour, Rugged Armour and Tough Armour cases for Apple Watch all offers different levels of protection. They wrap around the watch itself and they all come with a specialized screen cover for the Apple Watch.  Design-wise, they look rather cool as well.

Based on everything that has been outlined so far, what do you personally think about these cases? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
