The new Pebble Time will start shipping on May 27

If you’re looking for a smartwatch and want to get a great device, but without spending a lot of money, we have some great news for you. The new Pebble Time, introduced earlier this year, sill start shipping next week, on May 27th.

A great Kickstarter hit!

Of course, the early supporters of the manufacturer’s Kickstarted campaign will be the first one to receive their brand new wearables. According to Information Week, more than 78,000 backers brought the Pebble Time, making the campaign one of the most successful in the platform’s history.

The company made an announcement on their Kickstarter page, claiming that the Pebble Time is currently being manufactured and if everything goes well, the Pebble Time Rewards will be ready until the end of the month.

The Time smartwatch brings a premiere for Pebble, as it’s their first model to feature a color display. To be more specific, we’re talking about a color-epaper screen, with LED-backlight and measuring 1.25 inches.

Besides this, the Pebble Time comes with a 3D accelerometer, a compass, ambient light sensor and of course, a microphone. Still, the most important feature of this smartwatch, the one that definitely makes it stand out of the crowd is the amazing battery life.

Compared to other models, which might need charging every night, this one can last up to 7 days in a single charge!

Great value for money!

The Pebble Time is available for $199, but the early backers have another advantage, besides being the first ones to receive the smartwatch, as they will get it for just $159, while second-tier ones will pay no more than $179.

So, how many of you are considering this amazing little piece of technology? What features would make you consider the Pebble Time over other smartwatches?
