The iPhone 6 scores a massive number of pre-orders in China

Last updated on January 7, 2017 By Daniel Dob Leave a Comment

I can’t stop myself from bragging that something we’ve specified a while back did indeed become a reality. Over in China, Apple has received around 1 million iPhone 6 pre-orders in just 6 hours, which yet again proves how big of a market China is for tech products like these.iPhone 6

With this in mind, following the rumours that Apple is preparing to launch the iPhone 6 in China, Chinese carriers have actually begun allowing people to pre-order to iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in China and I guess that it’s quite clear: the pre-orders are flowing in without any trouble.

Another interesting thing is that the figure of 1 million mentioned earlier only represents the iPhone 6 pre-orders taken in by Chinese carriers, but not by Apple or the 6000 authorized resellers that they have over there. By keeping this factor in mind, a quick analysis would showcase that more than 2-3 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus devices were actually ordered today, not to take into account the incredibly large number of the new Apple devices which were shipped to China by smugglers prior to this, as there are reports stating that the iPhone was actually available in China through the help of the black market just a couple of hours after it became available back in the United States, which is actually something that happens with many other countries from all around the world.

Leaving aside the pre-orders that have been made until now, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will actually be sold officially by carriers, by the Apple Store and by resellers on October 17th, so that’s when people will be able to get their hands on the device through the official channels. Reports are also stating that the iPhone 6 and the bigger model will be offered by a wide variety of Chinese carriers including China Unicom, China Mobile and China Telecom and together, these carriers have over 1 billion subscribers in total which is an incredibly large number when compared to other mobile carriers in the world.

Now, we can’t help but wonder when the iPhone 6 will be available through the official channels in other countries, as there still are millions of people who haven’t caught a glimpse of it yet. Leaving these factors aside, what is your overall opinion around the iPhone 6, now that tons of reviews and news about it have hit the web? Have you bought it yet?
