The factors that makes Microsoft Corporation’s health band (NASDAQ:MSFT) different from other fitness band

Microsoft Corporation already acquired Nokia and at the end of 2014 it has again produced a new brand called health band. Matt Barlow, the General Manager of Microsoft Corporation has talked to Fox Business about the new health band and its attributes.

According to Matt Barlow, the new health band not only serves the purposes of a fitness band rather it can be used as a smart watch also. He said that this has the facilities of text messaging, phone calls, GPS, 24 hour heart rate monitor etc. He also added the other features like 48 hour battery life and it can supports phone that runs on all the three operating systems that is Android, Windows and iOS. This is the outstanding feature which made this fitness band different from others like Nike’s band, Fit bit etc.

Microsoft Corporation’s health band

This Microsoft Corporation’s health band was launched in October. It is available at 199$. Apple is also launching the Apple watch by 2015 which might be great competitor of Microsoft Corporation’s health band. But the GM Matt Barlow has said he is ready to welcome this competitor though Apple’s watch and Microsoft’s health band is completely two different products and their health band can be a great supplement of Apple’s smart watch.

All the fitness bands are made to measure a lot of things. But the specialty of Microsoft’s health band is it can give an insight measurement by giving a chance to take proper action. Barlow said that this health band cannot solve the health issue but focuses on the problems like irregular sleep, low calorie burning fat, reduced work rate etc so that you can work on that. Also the feature that it supports all three OS has made it stand out among all other fitness band.
