No need to say goodbye to Google Glass so soon

Last updated on January 7, 2017 By Adity Bera Leave a Comment

Thursday (January 15) was a big day for Google; they announced that they are not going to sale the current version of Google Glass in the market anymore. This decision may be sudden but not really totally unexpected. So when they announced this some critics started writing the final good bye notes for these innovative new glasses. But this may be too soon, as there is chance Google will make a comeback. They are definitely not going to back down without giving their competitors a fight that is not what the brand is known for.

No need to say goodbye to Google Glass so soon

So Google Glass fans do not worry, the brand may come back with a new and improved version of the product. To be honest these glasses never found a mainstream market. It was never as popular among the geeks as the makers expected it would be. Even last week at the international CES there were very few attendees who were seen wearing these glasses. The company must have expected that product will become the next big thing in the nerd culture but bad news for them is that it did not happen. No one can point out exactly what did not work for the fans, but many critics still admit that the product was good.

So if Google Glass wants to make a comeback in near future they have to update a lot of things. The main problem was that people do not want to wear something which will provide them the same information that their smartphones already does. The good news is that Google said that they will now treat the glasses as a complete separate product. This also indicates the fact that they are not thinking about backing down completely. But Google also have to update the Apps to make the product more appealing for the geeks and nerds.
