Today, during the TechWorld Conference, held in Beijing, Chinese manufacturer Lenovo unveiled a couple of concepts which amazed the audience and not only. By far, the most impressive was the Smart Cast technology, which, integrated in a smartphone, allows you to project the screen on basically any surface.
But hey, we’ve already seen projectors integrated in phones! Yes, we did, but this one allows you to interact with the projected image!
Shut up and take my money!
According to BBC News, the projector is using laser technology, enabling you to twist the module and have the phone project even on a flat horizontal surfaces, not only on walls. Still, the coolest part is that you can use the projection as an actual screen.
To be more specific, you can make it replicate your phone’s screen and project a full keyboard, in order to type even quicker or even one of your favorite games. Candy Crush on a wall sounds pretty cool, right?
You can check this video in order to see how it works:
Currently, Lenovo is not planning to use this amazing projector on any device, as the smartphone presented at the TechWorld event is just a concept, but we know you, just like us, would love to try this somewhere in the near future. Hopefully, one of their next smartphones will integrate it!
World’s first dual-screened smartwatch
Lenovo also introduced a new smartwatch, featuring two screens. Called Magic View, the wearable has a secondary projected display, which can be used for checking out images or maps, in a more private mode. This is also a concept and the manufacturer didn’t gave any details about a final version.
What do you think about Lenovo’s new additions to their portfolio? Are you interested in such revolutionary technologies?
