iOS 7 How To Redeem iTunes Gift Card With Camera On iPhone or iPad

With iOS 7 preview at WWDC 2013 Keynote, Apple previewed a new feature that allows users to easily redeem iTunes Gift Cards on your device using Camera. We know many of you love to use iTunes Gift cards around you, and many people uses them to gift it to their beloved ones. In the past, Apple has seen improving the iTunes on OS X and Windows, and as well as App Store on iOS to make the iTunes Card redeem process easy for every kind of users.

Today, iOS 7 running devices are capable to redeem your iTunes Gift Card in just a second with their camera lens, and they can perform all of the steps you were needed to redeem the credit in App Stores. We have seen people scanning barcodes, and then not so popular QR codes to get information about different devices but with iOS 7 and iTunes 11 update. You will see people redeeming their iTunes Gift card credit with their iPhone or iPad camera.

iOS 7 is featuring this powerful feature for iOS users. But many of you are not aware that how to use it, and where to find this handy feature on your device. Therefore, today, I will be showing how to redeem an iTunes Gift card using an iPhone running on iOS 7 with its camera.

How To Redeem iTunes Gift Card Credit With Camera on iOS 7:

Step 1: Launch App Store, on your iOS 7 running device.

Step 2: Make sure to be on Main or Featured Page in App Store for iOS.

Step 3: Now scroll all the way down to bottom of page, and here you will see a “redeem” button.

Step 4: Tap on Redeem button, and enter your Apple ID / Password. Then it will show you a picture of iTunes Gift Card with iOS 7 running device camera.

Step 5: Press the “Use Camera” button, and now bring the iTunes Gift Card in front of your iOS 7 running device camera. It will automatically pick up the code, and redeem your iTunes Gift Card credit.

Here you can notice that Apple has made everything very simple for iOS users to redeem their iTunes Gift card credits. It was a serious pain in the back to redeem an iTunes Gift card using touch keyboard on iPhone or iPad device. But, with all new iOS 7 running devices, it becomes very easy for every kind of iOS 7 users.

Important: It totally depends on the type of card. Apple has updated the layout of its iTunes Gift Card to make them work with this new feature. So if you are about to use this feature, then make sure you get an iTunes Gift card that is with a rectangular bar around the card code.
