Even though the Honor 6 has just a few weeks on the market, the Chinese manufacturer seems to be preparing a big Christmas gift. And by big we mean phablet big. The Huawei Honor 6 Plus could be launched next week, sporting a 5.5″ display, according to the latest rumors.
Dual cameras? Not so sure about this…
Still, the big display won’t be the main attraction point of the Huawei Honor 6 Plus. Apparently, these guys will release this device as a camera-centered phone, since it will be equipped with two 8 MP BSI cameras on the back, similar to the Duo Camera seen on the HTC One M8. According to Phone Arena, one of the cameras will take the snapshot, while the second one captures depth information which can be used to change the focus point or add effects to the picture.
Ok, we’re not saying this isn’t interesting, but don’t forget that HTC is ditching this technology, replacing it with regular cameras, so Huawei might have been less inspired with this decision. But let’s wait for the phone to be released and see how it will be receive by the market before drawing such conclusions, shall we?
Moving on with the specs, the Huawei Honor 6 Plus will be powered by an octa-core Kirin 930 chipset, running at 1.8 GHz, aided by 32 GB of RAM and 32 gigs of internal storage, expandable with a microSD card, while a 3500 mAh power pack will keep this baby alive for a whole day.
Pocket-friendly price
Surprisingly, Huawei will keep the price tag pretty low, as the rumors are pointing to just $323, which is almost too good to be true, considering the specs. Anyway, let’s wait until December 16, until the phone will be officially introduced and see if the price is indeed this good.
What do you think about the Huawei Honor 6 Plus? Would you buy it?
