How to Exit Recovery Mode Using TinyUmbrella/Redsn0w

If your iOS device is stuck in recovery mode, then you need an app like TinyUmbrella or Redsn0w to exit recovery mode.    An iPhone or iPad user can get stuck in recovery mode at any time.  Thankfully, these kinds of errors are not common, but when they do, results are often drastic.  If you have an app like the ones we’re going to discuss, you’d exit recovery mode in a snap.

In the absence of an app or a tweak, you will need to fix recovery mode stuck on your device through iTunes.  If your iPhone or iPad is stuck in recovery mode, there isn’t any way for you but to reset your device using iTunes.  Resetting or restoring your device with iTunes lets you fix recovery mode on your device but as a result you lose all your data saved on that device.\

TinyUmbrella is a primarily a utility people use to save SHSH blobs of iOS devices.   If you don’t use it a lot you might not know that you can also use TinyUmbrella to fix iPhone stuck in recovery mode.

  1. Download latest version of TinyUmbrella on your computer.
  2. Connect your iPhone/iPad to the computer with TinyUmbrella.
  3. Open TimyUmbrella and wait till it recognizes your device.
  4. Click on the “Exit Recovery Mode” button in the top right corner of the app.

This will let your device exit recovery mode without restoring it with iTunes.

Fix iPhone recovery mode with Redsn0w

Redsn0w is another app that offers the facility to fix recovery mode stuck on your iOS device along with its primary function.  There was a time it was a famous Jailbreak tool but it lost its fame due to unsupported firmware.  If you use Redsn0w, you can use “Recovery Fix,” a utility of Redsn0w to exit recovery mode on your stuck iOS device.

  1. Download Redsn0w on your computer.
  2. Connect your iOS device with the computer.
  3. Launch Redsn0w and go to Extras.
  4. Click on Recovery Fix.

Give Redsn0w a few moments to fix recovery mode stuck on your device.  If your iOS device is stuck on a blank screen or Apple Logo on the screen, you can enter recovery mode by software like Reiboot and then exit recovery boot using Reiboot or the apps discussed above. To fix recovery mode stuck on your iOS device, you have many options so you don’t need to restore your device using iTunes.
