Google I/O 2014 – Top 3 Most Expected releases

Last updated on January 7, 2017 By Andrei Klein Leave a Comment

With just a few hours left until the big event, everybody starts talking about Google I/O 2014 and what they expect from the show. And why lie…we’re in that category too.  Like most tech fans, we’re up to date with all the rum ors about the new stuff which will be presented and, of course, we have a short list with everything we want to see.

Google I/O 2014

First of all, we’re eagerly waiting to see the new Android version. If it’s going to be 4.5 or 5.0, we don’t know (anyone betting on 5.0?), but we can guarantee that the new version is going to bring a new dessert to the Android family, starting with “L” this time. This fact was confirmed by Mr. Sundai Pichar himself, the head of Android, who said he plans to reveal the new version during the first name of the conference. Lollipop, lemon pie, licorice? Oh, the possibilities…

Next, there’s Android Wear. Even from the first rumours about Google working at an operating system for wearables – smartwatches for the moment – everybody seemed delighted with the idea. Motorola and LG have already confirmed that they will be using Android Wear on their upcoming devices, but according to the same Mr. Pichai, new manufacturers and devices that will use the operating system will be announced.  Hey Samsung, we might have some bad news for you and Tizen after this show…

Last but not least, Android TV. Leaked a few months ago, the TV platform will include video streaming apps, like YouTube or Netflix. Since we already saw what Chromecast can do, which let’s be honest, was a hit, we won’t be surprised if Android TV is going to be another success.

And this concludes our top. Of course, there are many things we want to see at the conference, but the ones mentioned above are definitely expected by many other Android fans.
