Google recently announced a machine learning research group in Europe based in the company’s Zurich office. This office in Switzerland will enable Google’s researchers and engineers to develop products and conduct researches in Europe.

Google is still known primarily as a search engine, but it has a lot more to it than just the search engine. Machine learning has been of interest for most of the technologically inclined companies across the world, and there is hardly any reason for Silicon Valley’s tech giant to remain stagnant when it comes to exploring the new avenues in the universe of Machine learning.

The research group will focus on Machine Learning and it will explore the different ways in which computer intelligence can be used to resonate the processes carried out by human brain. This process of continuous learning helps machines get better with time and incorporate new things as it is used every day. Google’s announcement on Thursday mentioned that Europe is already home to some of the premier technical universities in the world.
