Gaming laptops – Best option for less than $500?
Recently, I decided it was time to replace my dad’s old Asus laptop. The fella did his job for more than 4 years and it was still working decently, but it had its slow moments, so, without regrets, I started looking for a new one.
He’s not a hardcore gamer, but from time to time, he likes to waste some time with a FPS or some Need for Speed, so I started looking for something which could run the latest titles. Unfortunately, we were on a budget too. So, a gaming laptop under $500…what to choose, what to choose…
Fortunately, I have a friend working for an IT service. He’s the guy I always ask for an opinion before purchasing something like this. Initially, I was thinking at a Dell model, but he recommended the Lenovo gaming laptop. I was never disappointed after listening to him, so I went for a ThinkPad Edge E545. Best. Decision. Ever.
Not only we got it for just $400, but this Lenovo gaming laptop model has almost everything you could want from a budget laptop. A 2.9 GHz AMD Dual-Core Accelerated CPU, 4 GB of RAM (upgradeable to 16), AMD Radeon HD 8450G graphics, while the LED 15.6″ display delivers some high quality visuals.
I know, it’s not the best out there, but for the money I wanted to spend, it was a very good pick. Not to mention that my dad is very happy with his new Lenovo after playing a bit of Call of Duty.
