Evad3rs Officially Confirmed iOS 7 Jailbreak But No Bootrom Exploit

Last updated on January 7, 2017 By Hamza Sheikh Leave a Comment

Since the very first release of iOS 7 beta to developers at WWDC 2013, everyone is curious to know about the status of jailbreak on latest iOS iteration. Apple has already released two beta updates to iOS 7, and reportedly going to launch iOS 7 Beta 3 download today. But people are still looking for the authentic status of iOS 7 Jailbreak. The hackers reportedly brings the iOS 7 Jailbreak development underground with iOS 7 mass activation bypass that allows non-developer users to install iOS 7 beta on their devices.

However, it is now reported that Evad3rs has officially claimed iOS 7 Jailbreak development, and asked everyone to spread their words to the other corners of the world. According to Evad3rs claim they are still working on the final version of iOS 7 Jailbreak which could be the iOS 7 Untethered Jailbreak. But it is merit mentioning here that Evad3rs disowns the Chronic DevTeam ex-member claim of gaining A5+ Bootrom exploit. There is no such A5+ Bootrom exploit available to developers that can lead them into ultimate hacking of iOS 7 security, and therefore they have to rely on other techniques.

No exploits found for A5+ bootrom (newer) devices 🙁 But don’t worry folks, #iOS7 jailbreak is still under works!! PLZ RETWEET

In the last few weeks, we have learned that @P0sixNinja claims to be holding a bootrom exploit, or at least he is working on something bigger than Jailbreak under the belt of “OpenJailbreak” term. Later, the prominent hacker of Evad3rs argued with him on Twitter, which reveals that OpenJailbreak is not about any bootrom exploit but just another hoax project by Joshua Hill.

MuscleNerd has made it clear to everyone that A5+ Bootrom exploit is not possible for anyone, except those who are familiar with iOS devices hardware to bring hardware side exploits. Since the iPhone DevTeam, Evad3rs, and rest of iOS Jailbreaking community is working on soft jailbreak exploits there are no chances of obtaining bootrom exploit.

In addition to Evad3rs official claim of jailbreaking iOS 7 the popular jailbreak tweak developer Ryan Petrich, also takes a shot on iOS 7 Jailbreak and leaked the upcoming iOS 7 Jailbreak to public.
