If you’re not yet aware, Apple has the sweet tradition of offering their employees a gift for Christmas ever year. They’ve started a couple of years back and are continuing the tradition to this day, as an attempt to thank their employees for all of their contribution to the Cupertino based company, but also to wish them happy holidays.
These gifts are usually Apple branded and most of them can turn out to be quite useful. For example, this year, Apple employees from all around the world have received a premium black Apple Incase backpack that looks sweet. This particular backpack has a slot for a MacBook, but also a couple of different pockets to ensure that everything will be able to fit accordingly. From the pictures that we’ve seen, the backpack also looks quite big, so it’s good enough to carry quite a large number of things when you’re going from one place to another.
What’s even more interesting is that Apple went ahead and actually included somewhat of a thank you poem with all of the gifts that they have given out:
‘This is our gift to you.
But it can never compare to what you’ve given.
What does it take to give a gift?
It takes thoughtfulness. Compassion.
And sometimes, sacrifice of your time,
your talent, and your heart,
These are the gifts you give:
kindness, knowledge, humor, and patience.
You give them when you cover for a teammate,
so they can go on a much-deserved break.
When you send an email recognizing a job
well done. Or when you grab an extra coffee
for a friend before you clock in.
You give these gifts whether it’s the beginning
of the season, or the end of a very long day.
You do it over, and over, and over again.
Amazing products are designed in Cupertino.
Amazing moments are made by you.
These moments are your gift this
holiday season — to your customers,
to your team, and to the world.
Thank you.’
In regards to the cost of this gift, it is thought that it may be somewhere around $60, but it seems like an Apple employer has already posted his gift over on eBay where it was bought for $99.
It’s also worth to mention that in the past, Apple employees have received other types of gifts including free apps, iTunes credit, blankets, hoodies, water bottles and more!
What do you think about Apple’s gifting spree?
