Apple updates their World Travel Adapter Kit

Last updated on January 7, 2017 By Daniel Dob Leave a Comment

I travel a lot, but one problem I always face is the difficulty of finding the right AC plug type to charge my iOS devices. In order to fix the issue that I and many other travellers are facing, Apple has decided to update their World Travel Adapter Kit this Monday.

Now, the kit is available over on the Apple Store at the reduced price of $29, while also offering a total of 7 AC plug types, thus making it usable in more countries from all around the world. As Apple has expanded their support to people who are visiting Brazil with the Type N outlets, those who travel there often have been pleased with the change. The kit also includes support for other plug types, including the ones found in North America, China, Japan, Korea, the UK, Continental Europe, Hong Kong and Australia.apple-world-kit

However, it is also worth keeping an eye on the fact that Apple has decided to get rid of the USB power adapted that normally came with the kit. Now, the company also is not offering the Lighting Cable along with the kit, which may be one of the main reasons behind the price slash.

The kit which is designed to work with most of the portable Apple devices including the MacBooks has had quite a lot of success in the past, and the update is thought to bring it even more.

Do you personally have an Apple World Travel Adapter Kit? If yes, how often do you find yourself using it or wishing that it had a couple of more adapter types? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
