Whenever you have a serious issue with your Apple device, the best thing you can do is pay a visit to the closest store and use the Genius Bars, in order to get quick answers and solutions. Still, this can be a bit hard sometimes, when the stores are all crowded or way too far from where you’re living.
A new project, coming soon?
The manufacturer is aware of this and is apparently working at an Apple support app, according to Engadget. Multiple sources claim that they are aware of the Cupertino-based company’s plans of saving you a trip to one of their stores and able to provide all the help you need.
It seems that the Apple support app will be able to narrow down the cause of your problem after asking a few questions and giving you the possibility to contact the support department or schedule a Genius Bar appointment. Also, if you’re dealing with a minor issue, you will be able to fix it from the comfort of your home.
There aren’t any details regarding the launch date, though. Also, the above-mentioned source claims that there’s no certainty that this would be an actual app, as it might as well be merge with the current Apple Store app.
Don’t get too excited, at least for the moment
If you ask us, it doesn’t matter if this Apple support app will become real or just be merge with another one, as one thing is clear: the company is doing its best to improve the overall support experience.
