Apple Kills the iPod Classic

Last updated on January 7, 2017 By Daniel Dob Leave a Comment

Leaving aside the wide array of announcement that Apple made yesterday including the iPhone 6, Apple Watch and a variety of new features for iOS8, it is also a sad day for many Apple fan boys from all around the world due to the fact that Apple finally decided to kill its line of iPod Classic.iPod Classic

Without making any special announcement about their decision, Apple simply removed the loved iPod Classic from its online store. We knew that this was going to happen at some point, especially due to the fact that this model was already years behind, but there was something special about it which made it look like a part of Apple’s soul. Anyways, rest assured as the other models of the iPod line are still intact and anyone willing to purchase any of them in 7 colours can do so when they desire.

Chances are that the iPod Classic will still be available for sale at other shops and Apple may even decide to introduce the sale of refurbished versions in their stores to clear all the stock. To be honest, good things always come to an end, but I’m now really asking myself questions in regards to the future of other Apple products including the AirPort Express, the AirPort Mini and even the Time Capsule.
